Spotlight Event: Coeur d’Alene Brewfest

Downtown Coeur d’Alene’s 9th Annual Brewfest returns to beautiful McEuen Park for an afternoon of craft beer, cider, and summer sun on the lake. Sample a wide variety of local and regional brews, enjoy food vendors, and soak in the scenery of one of North Idaho’s most beloved parks — all within walking distance of downtown shops and the Coeur d’Alene Resort. A great excuse to make a weekend of it in the Inland Northwest.

Spotlight Event: Canyon County Fair
July 23rd – 26th, 2026 | Canyon County Fairgrounds, Caldwell, ID
One of the Treasure Valley’s most beloved summer traditions, the Canyon County Fair brings four days of classic county fair fun to Caldwell. Expect livestock shows and exhibits, a full carnival midway, fair food, nightly live concerts, and all the nostalgic charm of a hometown fair. Free admission to the grounds makes it an easy family day trip — or multi-day outing — from anywhere in the Valley.

Spotlight Event: Sun Valley Writers’ Conference

One of the West’s premier literary weekends returns to the Sun Valley Pavilion for three days of big ideas, celebrated voices, and the kind of conversation you won’t find anywhere else. The 2026 lineup includes iconic documentarian Ken Burns, Harvard historian Jill Lepore, and British nature writer Robert Macfarlane, among others. Readers and writers from around the world gather each July for talks, panels, and the rare opportunity to engage directly with today’s most compelling minds — all set against the stunning backdrop of the Wood River Valley.

Spotlight Event: War Bonnet Round Up

Idaho’s oldest rodeo turns 115 this year, and it’s celebrating in style on America’s 250th birthday. The War Bonnet Round Up is a PRCA-sanctioned event bringing approximately 450 professional cowboys and cowgirls to Sandy Downs for four nights of bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and the crowd-favorite bull riding finale. Gates open at 4:30pm nightly with pre-rodeo entertainment at 6pm and the main event at 7pm. Kick things off at the free Teton Toyota Wild West Family Fest on Wednesday, July 29, from 4:30–8:30pm — food, drinks, activities, and a mini rodeo experience for all ages.
